VENTSday: Voter ID + Armed Campus Police

guernicamag.org

Now that Oregon is already voting, it seems a good time to ask your feelings about voter ID laws and curtailments to early voting.

And on an unrelated topic, let's talk about whether college security forces should be armed.  Those are this week's VENTSday subjects.

VENTSday is our weekly "opinion swarm"… we throw a pair of topics on the table, and let listeners vent--politely--on those topics.

We bring the topics, you bring the opinions.

It's VENTSday on The Jefferson Exchange, and you participate by calling 1-800-838-3760 or emailing JX@jeffnet.org.

The big questions again:

  • Are voter ID laws and shortened early voting periods good protections, or voter suppression?
  • Should police or security forces on college campuses carry guns?

Talk to you on the air!
