The Scourge Of Sea Star Wasting Disease

Wikimedia

Sea stars--starfish--are in trouble in much of the West Coast.

Sea star wasting disease causes the animals to lose arms and ultimately disintegrate, and scientists do not know yet what causes it.

We talk about the magnitude and any possible corrective action with the aquarium's Jim Burke.
