Dave Dotterrer still wants to be an Oregon State Senator.
He came very close four years ago, narrowly losing the District 3 senate seat to incumbent Alan Bates.
So this election amounts to a rematch, with both Bates and Dotterrer running again.
Party control of the Oregon Senate could hinge on the outcome.
