Abigail Kraft

Development Associate | Jefferson Monthly Editor

Abby Kraft works in the development department at JPR.  A brief stint as a volunteer at JPR led to what has turned out to be a decade of fulfilling work.  She has the pleasure of working with businesses and professionals who choose to support JPR by becoming underwriters.

Abby also edits the Jefferson Monthly, putting her English degree to work and allowing her the opportunity to crack a whip when tardy writers miss their deadlines.  After living in England, New York, New Mexico and Cape Cod, Abby headed to the northwest and settled in the Rogue Valley.

Along with the natural beauty of the region, JPR was one of the reasons she decided to call Southern Oregon home.  Apart from her husband Steven, her two sons, and the two brown dogs and one cat, Abby devotes much of her time to gardening, dreaming of recipes she’ll never cook, and sweeping the kitchen floor.

The 34th Annual JPR Wine Tasting and Silent Auction, generously sponsored by the Ashland Food Co-op, takes place tomorrow, Thursday ~February 12 at Ashland Springs Hotel.  Regional wine and food will be in abundance as bluegrass favorite Eight Dollar Mountain performs in the Grand Ball Room and Grant Ruiz and Dan Fellman light up the Crystal Room with the sounds of Flamenco.

Jefferson Public Radio presents the 34th Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction on Thursday February 12, 2015 at Ashland Springs Hotel. This year’s event features the same wealth of wine to taste with over 40 regional wineries gathering to pour for over 400 guests. The evening also offers samples of some of the region's best culinary creations from a diverse group of restaurants and caterers.  And again, the Silent Auction will be filled with incredible donations from area businesses, artists, and individuals.

Due to the severe winter storm that crashed into the Rogue Valley in early December we've rescheduled JPR’s 33rd Annual Wine Tasting & Silent Auction to Thursday, February 13, 2014 from 6pm to 9pm at the Historic Ashland Springs Hotel in downtown Ashland. This annual Rogue Valley tradition features a diverse selection of the region's finest wines, delicious food, live music and good friends of public radio. We here at JPR are proud to host the 33rd Annual Wine Tasting and are so grateful that the community supports this festive event year after year.
