Deep Freeze + Deep Snow = Slow Start To Week

Unusually deep snow and unusually low temperatures mean the snow is hanging around valley floors in the region.

The transportation system is coming back to full strength ever so slowly.

Region Digs Out From Early Season Storm

Now THAT'S a winter storm.

It may take much of the weekend for the region to dig out from Friday's snowfall.

Snow fell as far south as Mendocino County, snarling roads and causing numerous accidents.  School days, sporting events and stage shows were cancelled in response.
