Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, former Gov. Barbara Roberts, and Gov. Kate Brown at Oregon's 156th birthday celebration.

The only two women to serve in the state's top office will be honored next month in the Rose Festival's Grand Floral Parade.

Gov. Kate Brown and former Gov. Barbara Roberts will lead the June 6 parade in downtown Portland.

"As the only two women who share the historic role as Oregon Governors, we look forward to celebrating with Portland and with Oregon in our state's equally historic Grand Floral Parade," said Roberts in a statement.

Brown took the top state office in February following John Kitzhaber's resignation. She had previously been elected as secretary of state in 2008. Roberts became the first female governor in 1991, and served a single term, focusing on health care, affordable housing and the environment.

A week after the Rose Festival on June 14, Brown will attend the Portland Pride Parade as grand marshal.
