JPR Seeks Jefferson Exchange Producer

Jefferson Public Radio (JPR) seeks a producer for its regional civic affairs program, The Jefferson Exchange. The producer’s main duties include identifying issues and topics of regional interest, booking knowledgeable and interesting guests, overseeing Southern Oregon University interns working on the program, occasionally operating the control board, screening calls from listeners and steering overall program direction in collaboration with the program’s host.


The Jefferson Exchange is a two-hour news/discussion public affairs program broadcast weekday mornings over JPR’s News and Information Service network of 9 stations located in Oregon and California.

The position is based at JPR's main studios, located on the campus of Southern Oregon University in Ashland, Oregon.
