Human Trafficking: A Growing Global Problem

Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund

It is not easy to wrap our minds around the concept of human trafficking.

But figures indicate it is a legitimate criminal concern, and a rapidly growing one.  Call it slavery if you like… it has many attributes in common. 

Police investigated more than 2,500 human trafficking cases in the United States in 2010. 

Organizations like the Brazilian Immigrant Center investigate such cases and work on behalf of victims.
