The Devil Makes Three Live Session

Ways To Subscribe

Comprised of frontman/guitarist Pete Bernhard, guitarist/multi-instrumentalist Cooper McBean, and upright bassist Lucia Turino, the drummerless acoustic trio is not your normal alt.country band.

While deeply rooted in the blues and country music, they also enthusiastically incorporate elements of bluegrass, ragtime, and jug band traditions as well. All three members migrated to California from New England (Bernhard and McBean grew up together in Vermont, while they met New Hampshire native Turino after moving to Santa Cruz), with fierce influences rooted in punk rock and the blues. Though they don't have a drummer, the band's live performances make up for the half-finished rhythm section by rocking as hard as possible.

As FM Network Program Director and Music Director, Eric oversees many aspects of JPR's broadcast day. He still hosts the occasional Open Air or classical music shift, and is the driving force behind JPR Live Sessions - our popular series of live in-studio music performances and conversations.
