Wikimedia

The Exchange staff declares independence from work on the Fourth of July.

We'll take the day off, but air a pair of interviews from previous programs.

At 8:00: former Register-Guard columnist Bob Welch writes and talks about hiking the Pacific Crest Trail throughout Oregon inCascade Summer.

At 9:00, science historian Robert Proctor points out the many falsehoods delivered by the tobacco industry in defense of cigarettes, in his book Golden Holocaust.
