Originally from Paris IL, Paula began volunteering at JPR in 2006 as a commentator on the Jefferson Daily while living in Klamath Falls. She now serves as a columnist for JPR's magazine, the Jefferson Monthly. As a western transplant, first in Arizona, then Utah and now happily rooted in Southern Oregon, she finds the wild nature of the west evocative of a lifestyle she dreamed of as a child. Paula is currently working on her doctorate degree in Transformative Studies and developing a lifestyle philosophy and practice that she terms, Beautiosophy, The Practice of Living Beauty. She lives with her family and mini-dachshund, Copper, in Jacksonville, OR - surrounded by the wine lands of Southern Oregon. You can often find her at local wineries, listening to favorite musicians and discussing the complexities of life which she knows can resolve over a local vintage. And yes, Paula is a pirate for beauty...
