Freelance writer Juliet Grable lives in the Southern Cascades with partner Brint, Henri the cat, and several thousand conifers. A Texas transplant and “born-again Oregonian,” Juliet likes doing all the wonderful outdoorsy things her beautiful backyard affords, from hiking, birding, and backpacking to cross-country skiing and motorcycle touring. In quiet moments she’s been known to read a book or two. Juliet holds a BS in Ecology and an MFA in Creative Writing, and feels supremely grateful for the chance to combine her passions into one career. She frequently writes about sustainable building, renewable energy and watershed issues. In addition to local and regional publications, her work has appeared in Earth Island Journal, Green Builder, Home Power, and Bay Nature Magazines.
