Darin Ransom is JPR’s technical Superman. He’s faster than a speeding radio wave! More powerful than a winter ice storm! Able to leap up tall towers with boundless skill and courage!
Seriously, Darin keeps JPR’s 50+ transmitter and relay sites humming so our listeners can hear the programs they rely on each day. It’s a difficult task which involves working crazy hours and spending way too much time behind a windshield. In service to JPR listeners, Darin has rappelled from a helicopter on a snowy Mt. Shasta, slept in a transmitter building and fended off bears, rodents, bees and mountain lions. In between lots of hard work, Darin enjoys some of the most beautiful views the State of Jefferson has to offer – from JPR communication sites on remote mountain peaks.
