Art lovers of southern Oregon look forward each year to the spectacular Artists’ Workshop of Southern Oregon Annual Show and Sale. The show represents accomplished passionate artists who capture local landscapes, historical buildings, flowers, and other interesting subjects. The show features original framed paintings, drawings and original prints in a variety of mediums including oils, acrylic, watercolors, pastels, ink, and encaustics. Additionally, an assortment of unframed, matted originals and reproductions will be for sale. Participants in the show include award winning, collected artists who are represented in galleries and conduct classes and workshops in various mediums. This year’s artists are Raye Aubin, Susan Austin, Steve Bennett, Sue Bennett, Peter Coons, Linda Curtis, Susan DeRosa, Rick Evans, Kim Faucher, Sherwood Gooze, Georganna Happel, Marilyn Hurst, Eleanor Lippman, Kirsten Meriwether, Judy Buswell Marshall, Jeanne Quigley, Pamela Ourshalimian, Carolyn Roberts, Desmond Serratore, and Jan Weydemeyer. Artists’ Workshop of Southern 33rd Annual Show and Sale is free and will be held August 4th through 27th at Art Presence Art Center located at 206 N 5th Street in Historic Jacksonville, Oregon. Gallery hours are 10 AM – 5 PM every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The public is invited to a “Meet the Artists” Reception on Saturday, August 5th from 2-5 PM. Founded in 1979 by the late Jacksonville artist, Elaine Witteveen, Artists’ Workshop of Southern Oregon, formerly Artists’ Workshop, members paint “en plein air” every Monday morning at various locations throughout the Rogue and Applegate Valleys of Southern Oregon.
